Vlog Central is a comprehensive audio/video solution for bloggers that is integrated into their existing blog of choice (Movable Type and Blogger have been tested so far, we will add more soon). Vlog Central allows blogs to move beyond text and simple photos to comprehensive audio/video entries. Blogs and moblogs can graduate into Vlogs.

Vlog Central is easy to use. Capture video on a digital camera, digital camcorder, etc., and load the video onto your computer. Download and install the Vlog Client. Drag and drop your video onto the Vlog Client and add some text for your blog entry. That's it.

Use your blog's standard tools to edit, delete, and otherwise manage the video entry.

Behind the scenes, the Vlog Client publishes the audio/video entry to Vlog Central. Vlog Central immediately translates the video into the formats desired -- both QuickTime and Windows are supported -- at the desired sizes and resolutions. Vlog Central then places all video into a content management database and publishes the entry to the user's blog.

Blog readers see standard blog entries with the addition of a video window. If the video is selected, the request is redirected to Vlog Central which asks the reader to pick their preferred player and video format and streams the correct video.

Vlog Central allows existing blogs and moblogs to graduate into Vlogs with little effort on the part of bloggers and places no additional burden on existing blog infrastructure.
